Listened to MidWeek this morning and decided that Sanjeev Bhaskar is possibly one of the funniest people around. As well as being wise and intelligent.
I think I will have him to supper, along with S Fry.
Now, all I need to do is balance the three blokes with three ladies (I know about Mr Fry, but maybe he would be OK with Miranda Richardson who I met not too long ago and who radiates. She just radiates. Everything. Including, I suspect, sunlight from her skin). And then the awful question, what to feed them. Bearing in mind my limitations as a chef, it has to be cookable. And to drink?
It's a nightmare.

If you serve enough champagne, no-one will notice the food.
Yes, good idea. We'll certainly start with champagne. And maybe some nibbles involving caviar for which I am afraid I am developing a taste as I age*. That would lead us into a chardonnay for the first course which will lead me towards something fishy.
I think the other ladies might have to be the Daisies Godwin and McAndrew. Although I am tempted by the lure of the history woman, is it Bethany Hughes, and by one of the Chakrabati sisters, is it Sammi?
Does this mean I have to sacrifice Miranda? All in the search for a good conversation? Choices choices.
*on grounds of cost vs income.
