a joint decision

Just a quickie to say that C Clarke will earn more respect from me than I thought possible to give him if he reverses the decision on cannabis and regrades it. As one who has seen first hand the extreme damage it causes, and know no one who uses it who doesn't accept that it can have dreadful psychotic consequences, I am convinced that it must be made as hard as it can be for people to get.

It seems to me to be quite admirable to be able to reassess, and absorb new, information and say "We got it wrong. Sorry. Now we'll try and put the wrong as right as we can". I think that is what deserves respect. If only there were more governments that would do that.

Notwithstanding that anything the odious, not to say repellent, D Blunket did should be reversed as a matter of course. Possibly the least likeable man in politics anywhere, ever.

Update: I also say big rispek to C Kennedy. That took guts. And probably a double as well.

Don't bogart that decision, my friend
