Because I am moving house. Today is the third day and I am heartily sick of it!
Day 1: sugar soaping walls, cleaning, panicing
Day 2: moving the OH's stuff in - the removers worked from 0800 to 1800 with only two breaks
Day 3: moving my stuff in - they are here now and I feel a bit like a spare part, hanging around while they lug my crap out to the van.
We've moved about 150 yds from her house, and about 1 mile from mine. Nontheless, we're dog tired, and I've got aching shoulders and feet. Tonight all four of the kids come home from their respective other parents for their first night in the new house. It'll be chaos.
I think I will sit quietly in a corner (if the sofa makes it intact) and drink a bottle of champagne and listen to Barcelona win the Champions League.

it's just a long learning curve, isn't it?
and long can be as long as you want, if you have enough time
I'll take idiots over spanking, goat sex and pretty much anything else mentioned there, thank you
Still, at least the uber-witch Mills and the poor beleagured McCartney have split up. Every cloud and all that, eh?
Crikey - that's news to me.
Calculating witch! Presumably she'll be 'comfy' now for the rest of her all too long life.
No one will ever persuade me that she did anything other than manipulate the wet old sod while he was grieving for Linda so seh could inject some funds into her own bank acocunt and become a royal pain in the arse to the rest of us for ever. Oh joy.
hang on a minute, I thought The Arse were going to win the Champions league?
is that the big footie match that's on tonight?
oh, now I understand why everyone is so het up. . .
even band rehersal has been cancelled because of that match

bah humbug, that was bloody blogger, not me!
Can I just share my joy at Barcelona's having won the Champions League, please?
Thanks. As you were.
did you see that match? all those men were running around in the pouring rain, the goalie even was sent off for trying to pull someone over by grabbing their ankle (and there was me thinking that he was supposed to be trying to save the ball from going into the net behind him?), I got very confused by which team was which - thought I was supposed to be supporting the team in the blue/red stripes, when apparently it was the one with O2 on their fronts (der, I'm such a girl); I could go on, but we all know the result, and I only saw the highlights - not the actual match
but doesn't football make some people so happy and joyous (Barcelona fans, true and temporary) and some people so sad (Arsenal fans)
mind you, at least the rain washed their tears away
Actually football makes me miserable (Spurs, England) far more often than it makes me happy. So last night was a rare moment of happiness, to be seized with both hands...
Well I hope you got to enjoy it!
and that 1st full family night was OK.
I've got my fingers crossed for you all :)
(sorry, got nothing even slightly meaningful to say about footie, it might help if the people with foreign names were in one team and the people with english names were in the other, maybe?)
Pashmina - please do, as often and as loudly as you like.
DCI - re support. You got it right first time. You are encouraged to not support team swith O2 on the front of their shirts on this blog ;-)
MIG - three nights now, and no rows. I think the words honeymoon and period might be appropriate to sprinkle into things right about now.
beep - surely anyone with O2 on their shirt is only showing their concern for an increase in global warming, the melting of the ice caps and the disappearance of the ozone layer?
or am I getting that wrong too?
;-)
possibly, possibly
