Laugh all you will
But this old man and his too young son are going to rock out with Robert Plant this weekend at Cornbury. Anyone going? Fancy saying hello? If so drop me a comment and we'll fix it up.

I'm not laughing, I think that's pretty cool
is this why you're going:
LATEST NEWS
Are you a Rock Dad? Then you need THE WORD!
9 June - In the new issue of The Word magazine they pay tribute to "Rock Dad", the guy who teaches his kids the chords of Smoke On The Water, lends them his old tee shirts and takes them to their first rock festival. Plus they're offering all Rock Dads Bands the chance to enter a competition to play alongside Robert Plant and Mike Scott at the Oxford Cornbury Festival on July 9th!!!
Scary! My god! I am SO predicatable. I don't read the Word. But I do fit the bill. And guess what Heston can play on the geetar: Yup, Smoke on the Water and Sunshine of your Love. And yes, this weekend is to be his first rock festival. And he is going to Motorhead in Dec.
*shakes head and wanders off thinking about what a predicatble old farrt he has become...*
Damn, wish I'd known about this earlier. I'm busy all weekend now. I love Robert Plant (he lives near here. I used to play rugby with his son). Texas are ace, too. I haven't been to a festival in ages and this would have been just the one.
Crises! Hello. Thought you'd gone and left us. I'll be sure to report. Ironically I once pithed for the PR for this festival. Thank God I didn't get it... but that's another story.
Heather - you shouldn't be listening to Led Zep anyway. It's for boring old rocker dads like me. Too old and too stupid to stop. Mind you, they are the best. I can't wait to see RP. Wonder if JP will guest ... here's hoping. Wonder if I've got time to listen to "Clarksville" before tomorrow
`yes it was. And he was MAGNIFICENT. ao too were the pretenders, and I wasn't really expecting them to be, and watch out for a young band called souljacker. It was all great: I'll give you my version of events soon

I love the Ella Fitzgerald (think it was her) version of Sunshine
isn't that point about predictability? er,it is predictable. . .
oh, and I don't read The Word, either, I copied that from the site you linked too!
hope you guys have a fab time
hope the weather holds for you
me too. Although we are proteted by being able to sleep in real beds and have a bath and proper loo and so on.... we're hardly roughing it
Oh I don't think that's sad at all. I'm jealous. I saw Plant live last year and he was bloody brilliant.
Your son is lucky to have a dad to take him to such things. My dad always banned me playing Zep within earshot. They give him migranes, or so he says.

I'm really, really jealous. Have a good time.

Beep, I'm extremely envious and sorry that I didn't organise to go before I went away. I adore Robert Plant.
Oh no, you don't get rid of me that easily. Just been reeeeally busy.
How was it? Was it really good? Was it? Was it? Bet it was.
