As you may have read Abingdon is the latest victim of the floods. Here's the scene on Sunday on the main road in and out.

And this next one is last evening: the line of ambulances is somewhat daunting. They were in fact put into effect during the night. There are evacuees. We volunteered to take some in as we are not far from the homes at risk, but on significantly higher ground. Our services were not required.

And here's how one household tried to protect their home: they were evacuated.
