As good as a thriller

Shakespeare by Bill Bryson

Brief. To the point. Myth de-bunking.
Witty. Highly readable.

Excellent. 5 stars.

worth trying this one, notes from a small island too.
He's rather prone to 'listing' as if to prove how much research he really did, and that spoils some of his work for me. Even in Shakey there's a bit of it every now and then. One simply glazes over and moves on.
Recommended though.
