cough cough rustle ring cough beep rustle cough

I really like those ads where someone is coughing, and a magic hand simply tears them off.

How many times have I wished...

... and mobile phones in theatres, and sweet unwrappers in ditto ...

so how long before bird flu goes from human-to-human, rather than bird-to-human. . .

cough cough

(sorry, didn't really want to bring up bird flu after previous post, and not sure of my 'facts' as still have that copy of NS unread)

(finished old current read last night, looking forward to tonight's new one!)

ok, sorry beep, have been out of loop for so long now (gone for two days, but seem to have slipped thru gap in space time continuum for a coupla light years) and missed many aspects of this 'conversation' completely; above thought has already been covered elsewhere

everything seems to have been said already

(makes me wonder, what is being done then?)

(but I'm not going to ask out loud, because I get the impression you want to leave this one alone now)

wv: v-puke, with small lumps of unchewed carrot in it; how appropriate

according to the news on BBC right now, they may, I repeat MAY, be saying that is has happenend in Turkey already. In which case the shit has hit the fan in big style.

Does the Grauniad say anything about it? The Times has big article on p12.

And the head in the sand brigade are endemic (fnah) on the letters page.

Oh well.

Finger crossed. It seems that's all we can do.

is there a bloggers' etiquette rule on how many comments one can leave on a post without anyone else's comment appearing either on the same post or in between one's comments?

just a thought

(might go and find someone real to talk to now)

eek! you broke my chain of purity

don't specially want to leave it, biut seem ot be a somewhat lone voice, so assume everyone is getting bored of it. I'm not. I'm a lot of things, but bored about bird flu is not one of them. About that I am worriedscaredfrightenedconcerned &tc.

left the newsworthy bit of G in coffee shop. . . or (thinks) maybe that was the sporting section?

do you really want me to write an analysis of their converage? I will if you ask nicely. . .

:-)

wv: try-me

did you read NS on it? I've been putting that off, on the basis that I have a bucket of sand left over from an earlier beach experience and my head still fits in (just about)

WV: FUCKWITS no kidding (that's why I did it in caps) (well, not much kidding)

No, but thanks v much. Actually, I might go and buy it myself. I want to be informed about BF.

and your wv. I have been. Trying to, that is.

I'm jealous of 'coffee shop' btw. I thought about it on way back from school run (as it's effing Wednesday) got distracted by thinking I might have to work and as usual have been worrying too much about making sure other people get BF to actually do any work. Not get BF, but 'get' BF.

oh, ho ho: hhusx

No! Really, on Bird Flu. I'm off to the shop now. Scuse for five mins....

I now have the dullest ver in the world. Why is your life so much more exciting than mine. Whinge, whine and gripe.

have perused The Graunida (d'ya read PE then?), yup pg 14 a web link and full centre spread pic of people 'on the fringes of Europe' (well, that's a relief isn't it) grieving for their loved ones. . .

just off to track down NS now. . .

been blogging with WVs so long now that my pc tries up to three letters of the WV so that I don't need to bother type it out myself: blogdom hits back with nine letter WV

my pc - nil
blogdom - one

birdflu virus - hundreds
humans - dying

not very funny really; whatever happened to SARS?

ps spent most of the time in coffee shop writing notes to myself somewhere other than here (or there, depending on your viewpoint) which is my excuse for buying but not reading my newspaper this morning

WV: diffident (but desperately trying to find an excuse for pointless outlay of cash on newspaper which I might eaily have left behind for someone else to read) (gasp) (but didn't) (sigh)

I think they got on top of it. Thank goodness it was in Singapore.
I only hope that they get on top of BF. Am actually going through the Times article right now. I'm scared. For Heston, for my mum and Dad (a bit) and for everyone I know. New post shortly.

oh god, I have just reread all of this (have far too much time on my hands this morning/afternoon) and wish to make one thing clear: when I had my very appropriate fuckwits WV, I meant the "newspaper/media fuckwit" types not the "lovely lovely bloggers who read Easily Lead wonderful people" types

(although now maybe I class myself as a fuckwit for unclear writing/commenting, and inappropriate use of word ver's within text)

will sign off and go away to do something worthwhile (thrash myself with twigs?) but first, the interesting bit:

wait for it. . .

wait for it. . .

WV: rdksbst

HP speak for ridiculous bullshit? or a not so subtle hint for me to shut up once and for all
