Wanted - PR

Still in my minority of one on the logo then... anyway, I'm here to ask for your help. Seems a bit cheeky as I've alienated most of my readers by being infrequent and bolshy: notwithstanding, perhaps you know someone who knows someone who ...etc.

As I mentioned to Mig at the market yesterday, we, the market that is, need to do something to generate more trade. I spoke to the owner yesterday and he's willing to consider my idea of using a professional PR to promote our fortunes locally.

So if anyone knows a PR freelance who works in Oxford - I think the local connection is going to be important - can they get in touch, PLEASE? Pretty please. And I'll put them in touch with the relevant person.

I'd be very happy to hear from experienced PRs and, more importantly (for them), from
someone with a shiny new freelance career and no, or few, clients. Looking to build a portfolio? We're looking to build too, so lets build together.... kind of thing. Ideas and energy, especially energy, are more important than a bristling book. As is a degree of realism about what can and can not be achieved, not to say budgetarily too. And they will need to be properly 'set-up' though, with media data and so on.

Even if you don't know anyone yourself, perhaps someone you know does... over to you, my faithful few.

Chance to do someone a favour, feel good, undying gratitude. etc.

for a minute I thought you were going to offer me a paying job

(but then, I remember way way back when we first met how one or other of us wondered if we could make any money from this - shame it doesn't pay really!)

A job? no that's not what I'm offering you.

But I would if I thought you could do it - can you? Actually, i'm just a conduit between the boss and anyone I can find....

I passed on the message as promised...I think Glastonbury interfered a bit with the reception!
