How can I be angry?

Yesterday was a deep disappointment really. We had a fabulous day and everything went really well and, naturally, I'm going to find that problematic.

Easily Lead went to London. More specifically Beep and Heston found their way to the Michelangelo drawings at the British Museum: Closer to the Master. And by golly, it's a well-named exhibition. And well-designed, laid out and everything. The drawings are all accessible and some of them beyond beauty. The captions are clear and mostly illuminating. In fact, it's an all round good show. Damn it.

And the trains were on time, clean and quick. I even had the right change for the car park and the cheap day return fare was reasonable (Heston, being fewer in years than 14, cost only £1). The underground was efficient and it only rained when we were inside. All in all it was an easy relaxing and thoroughly rewarding day out. Covent Garden was of interest to the boy, and we got the top front seat on the No 11 bus and despite the Kings Road traffic were almost on time for our tea-time meeting with my sister and step-mother. Even our train home left on the dot of 18:06 and was uncrowded enough for us to easily find seats.

I mean, what is the world coming to when a day in London goes so well that it doesn't give me something really trivial and annoying to rant about? Damn and blast it.

I suspect most are feeling short-changed by this blog at the moment. I know I am.

Who was it who tried to get the BBC to broadcast some 'Good News'?

Well, there's always next time, eh? Glad you like my name - I try to live up to it.

US: Martyn Lewis?

Kyah: for a moment I thought you said pants

MIG: Yes, this won't do at all.

Phlegm: I don't know. If it carries on being this good why bother going back? And there was a massive strike on too - didn't even notice it. Gah.

Sounds like you're just going to have to repeat the exercise and try again.
